Automation Settings

Automation settings control when Atlas runs background tasks like scheduled functions and ambient awareness checks. Drumbeat requires an active Talk plan.

Active Hours

Start Default: 8:00 AM | End Default: 10:00 PM

Scheduled functions with active_hours_only: true and drumbeat checks will only run within these hours. Set them to roughly match your work day to prevent Atlas from running background checks in the middle of the night.

Drumbeat

Drumbeat is Atlas’s ambient awareness system. When enabled, it runs a brief background check at regular intervals during your active hours — surfacing overdue tasks, upcoming calendar events, and other things that might need your attention.

Drumbeat Enabled

Toggles the entire drumbeat system on or off.

Drumbeat Interval

Options: 15, 30, 60, or 120 minutes | Default: 30 minutes

How often drumbeat runs during your active hours. At 30 minutes, Atlas checks in twice an hour.

Tip

Drumbeat requires an active Talk plan or higher. The checks run in the background using a limited set of tools, so they won’t interfere with your current conversation.
